Socialization in schools is a complex issue, but when we think about it, we shouldn’t forget something that occurred in a public school not that long ago. At Columbine High School, students who were allegedly bullied took revenge on their classmates by shooting into a crowd, killing many of them. Nor was this the only school where such a thing happened, as quite a few other incidents of this type have happened in schools in the U.S. and elsewhere. Various measures, such as increased security and cooperation from local police forces, to prevent future outbreaks of violence. Among other reasons, then, parents may choose to homeschool their kids to keep them safe.
